First Off Announcements and the like. Sam: Happy Thursday Boston, and a merry Christmas Eve Eve. The Beat will be off tomorrow, returning next week.
Before we get to the holiday fun, stick with us for one more day of big news. Recently-public 3D printing company MarkForged is relocating its global headquarters to Waltham from Watertown.
The new Waltham office, which has a maximum capacity of 500 people, will occupy 120,000 square feet across four floors at 60 Tower Road. Lucia Maffei of the Boston Business Journal has the story.
And now for some special year-end news of our own: The Big One A breakdown of the day's biggest innovation story. There's no better way to end the year than by looking ahead to the next one. With that in mind, BostInno rounded up a list of 22 Startups to Watch in 2022.
Whether they just launched this year, are starting to pull in capital, or are on the verge of something big, the companies and nonprofits we're highlighting here are ones to keep an eye on.
Some of them will be familiar to loyal BostInno readers, like food waste startup Spoiler Alert, which we featured a few weeks ago. Others, we're just learning about too, like the clean energy firm Verdox. But they'll all be on our radar next year as they continue to grow.

Random Truly, random
Sam: The chair of the Physics Department at the City College of New York in Harlem received a nice surprise in the mail: $180,000 in cash, with a note asking for it to be used for scholarships for the program. More from the New York Times.
