Omorpho
We’ve had Nike alums-turn-entrepreneurs on the mind lately — see last week’s cover story — and the latest news in that trend came late last week. Omorpho, the workout apparel maker founded by ex-Nike executive Stefan Olander, raised another round of funding. Olander spent 20 years at Nike.
This brings the startup’s total investment to $16 million.
This round was once again led by Chicago firm KB Partners but also included new investor Thirty-5 Capital. In fact, Thirty-5's founder Ron Saslow said it was Olander and the team’s deep industry experience that made the startup attractive.
“The team’s deep knowledge and experience in the industry make them uniquely qualified to create an entirely new category of sportswear,” he said in a written statement.

Ratio Coffee
Ratio Coffee, the company behind the high-end home coffee maker Ratio Eight, has a new product launching, and it's taking to Kickstarter for discounted pre-orders. The new product is called Ratio Four and it is taking aim at the K-cup crowd. In about 48 hours the company reached its minimum Kickstarter goal of $30,000. As of Nov. 13, it had raised $44,064 from 350 backers with 32 days left on the Ratio Four campaign. Keep reading.
Deal off
Portland’s NuScale, a small modular nuclear reactor startup, cancelled one of its oldest agreements that would have seen it develop a six-reactor nuclear power plant in Idaho. The move came after the company and its partner struggled to sign on enough customers for the project. Keep reading in the PBJ.
