Local lab sets national hemp test
New offering is geared toward growers and brands that sell products countrywide
- Boca Raton cannabis testing facility ACS Laboratory has launched the National Hemp Testing Panel. Though the U.S. Department of Agriculture issued rules on hemp, some states enacted more comprehensive testing standards that hemp growers and brands must meet. Following months of research, ACS used data collected from each state to create the National Hemp Testing Panel to meet the strictest requirements in each category for nationally sold hemp products. The lab tests for 18 cannabinoids, 105 pesticides, 24 heavy metals, 55 potential residual solvents, 17 microorganisms and every required mycotoxin to detect parts per billion. “We developed the National Hemp Testing Panel because comprehensive testing is key to the industry’s future. Compliance is critical to reducing liability risks and expanding market opportunities and, unfortunately, most laboratories do not offer comprehensive testing,” ACS President Roger Brown said. “By submitting samples for national panel testing, hemp growers, manufacturers and processors can confidently sell products anywhere in the country.”
