Miranda: On a search to diversify the health tech industry, a startup is working to build an online approach to holistic healing and personal nutrition.
Hologram Sciences founder Ian Brady said he decided to work in health tech after his wife had developed gestational diabetes. Unable to find a personalized nutrition plan to aid his wife’s healing, Brady founded Hologram, an online provider of diagnostics, digital feedback and custom formulated products to aid immunity, gut and brain health.
With $100 million in investment behind it, Hologram is a spinoff from Royal DSM, a Netherlands-based company that focuses on global nutrition, health and sustainable living. Royal DSM is the sole funder of the venture, Brady said.

Innovative start-ups receive support in strategic positioning and communications, target market definition and prioritization, publicity and brand awareness building, and and connections to an extensive network of business leaders and investors. The deadline is April 30.
• Applications are now being accepted for the 2021 IGNITE cohort, which is seeking medtech startups from the Boston, Rhode Island and the rest of New England. It's aimed particularly at early stage medtech founders of companies that are at a pre-seed or see round stage, typically around $1M or less raised. To apply, go here.
• ‘Next Steminist’ scholarship program for young women to pursue careers in STEM: $10,000 awards designed to help female undergraduates get started in STEM and pave the way for the next generation of technology leaders and innovators, applications are open until May 17.
• Venture Lane will be piloting a new virtual membership in Q2 called Venture Lane Connect. Interested B2B startup founders and their teams can sign up for the private beta here.
• Quincy-based Retail Business Services is again joining up with fellow Ahold Delhaize USA companies and the nonprofit Venture Cafe Cambridge to help early-stage entrepreneurs seeking to jump into the retail grocery sector.
